Clinical realism matters.

Pxl-Persona is working with Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust to co-design AI-powered digital personas that simulate depressive presentations for training purposes.

This is not about creating scripted characters. It is about building structured, ethically grounded digital twins informed by clinical insight and lived experience.

Together, we are defining behavioural markers, emotional tone patterns and safe conversational boundaries. These elements are embedded into our AI avatar platform to create responsive, repeatable training environments.

For nurses, doctors and clinicians, this means being able to practise difficult conversations, test diagnostic thinking and learn through safe failure - without risk to real patients.

Depression is the starting point. The framework we are building is designed to support more complex mental health scenarios in the future.
